I decided to make a soup that I usually make with potatoes and use turnips instead.

Step
1
Heat oil in large pot.
2
Add chopped onions and cook until translucent.
3
Once the onions are ready, add the ground turkey. Season with whatever spices you like. I used a mixture of chives, salt, and pepper.
4
After the turkey is browned, add the turnips and let them cook with the turkey and onions for about 10 minutes.
5
After the turnips have gathered all the spices and flavors from the onions and turkey. add your chicken broth.
6
After you add the broth, put your carrots in the pot with the onions, turkey, and turnips. Let this cook for about 20 minutes, or until all the veggies are tender.
7
When your veggies are almost done, add the kale. You should let the kale cook in the soup for about 10 minutes.

If the soup is too bland, try adding some red pepper flakes or season salt. I put a small spoonful of olive tapenade in mine (only because I had it on hand) and top with cheese (optional, but delicious)
