cupsoil for deep frying (approx absorbed by bread)
Steps
Sequence Step
1Dissolve yeast in warm water.
2Mix in sugar, salt, egg and evaporated milk, and blend well.
3Mix in two cups of flour until smooth batter.
4Add Shortening and other 1 3/4 cup of flour.
5Chill for 1 hour.
6Roll out dough to 1/8 inch thick.
7Cut into 2 1/2 inch squares.
8Fry in 360 degree F hot Vegetable oil until popped up and golden brown.
9Drain onto paper towel and sprinkle with confectioner''s sugar to taste and serve warm.
