Cream together sugar, butter and vanilla extract. Also add approximately 1 teaspoon peppermint extract (more or less to taste). Mix together flour, salt and baking soda. Mix wet ingredients with dry by slowly adding flour mixture. After all of these are mixed together, add about half of a 12 oz bag of chocolate chips, in place of the second half add approximately 6 oz of Candy Cane kisses or similar Peppermint/chocolate candy. Bake at 375 degrees for approximately 10 minutes per batch.
