Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 13x9-inch baking dish.

Place sausage in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain crumbled sausage on paper towels to remove oil and moisture. Place brocolli in small suace pan, cover with water, cook for 5 minutes, drain and squeeze all water out and let cool.

Beat eggs, milk, butter, salt and ground pepper in a bowl, pour into prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with onions, bacon, brocolli and 1/2 cup chedder cheese.

Bake in preheated oven until knife inserted near the center comes out clean, 25 minutes.

Top with the balance of 1/2 cup of chedder cheese and finish baking for 5 minutes.

Allow to cool slightly, 5 to 10 minutes, cut into squares.

Serve squares with 1 tsp. of sour cream, as desired.
