Cook dates and water until thick, about 10 minutes.

Cream Smart Balance and sugar. Mix in remaining ingredients. Spread half in bottom of 9 X 13" pan. spread date mixture evenly over it. Top with remaining crumble mix.

Bake at 400 degrees about 25-30 minutes.
