Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl.

Mix milk, eggs, vanilla, and carrots if using pureed in a small bowl.

Slowly add liquids to dry, mixing just until moist.

Stir in chocolate chips.

Fill paper liners or muffin pan 2/3 full with batter.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Store in refrigerator.
