Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a muffin tin or line the cups with paper liners.

Combine dry ingredints in a large bowl. And in brown sugar as well.

Add the buttermilk, applesauce, egg, oil and vanilla. Stir untill just blended. DO NOT OVERMIX.

Cool on wire rack for 10 minutes before removing. Serve warm or cool completely on a wire rack.
