In a large pan over a high heat, fry the finely chopped onions in the oil and soy sauce until they are soft (obout 5 minutes)

Add the the garlic powder and cook until it turns brown. Quickly add the wine and reduce.

Mix the miso and three tablespoons of the tomato sauce to get a thick liquid. Add to pan and reduce.

Add the rest of the tomato sauce and reduce the heat to low.Let simmer and thicken for a few minutes.
