Melt butter in pan until it starts to brown a little bit.

Chop and sautee bacon at high heat until crispy. Drain ONLY HALF of the fat.

Add chopped onion and turn heat down to low.

When the onion is translucent, Add the squash and about 1-2 cups of water.

Cook on low for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, add spices and cook until desired texture
