Process crushed tomatoes in a blender one at a time to achieve a smooth consistency.

Once the onion and garlic are thoroughly cooked, whisk in crushed tomatoes and chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10 minutes.

In a food processer, combine cream cheese and the can of stewed tomatoes. Cover and process until smooth.

Gradually, stir in the cream cheese mixture, oregano, basil, and sugar.

Cook on low until slightly thickened. Do NOT boil!
