1take the all purpose flour, whole wheat flour, and the wheat germ and combine them in a bowl
2add baking soda and salt. mix slightly and set aside.
3in a different bowl whisk together oil, sugar, buttermilk, and vanilla extract
4add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and fold until just incorperated. be careful not to over mix!!
5add almonds and mix very lightly
6turn griddle to 350F. turn down if griddle startes to smoke
7drop small ladles of batter onto the skillet. when bubbles start forming around the edges life the edge a little and if the side is golden brown flip the pancake over and let cook for another 2-3min
