Recipe Name Plymouth Granola Submitted by Ben Linnabary
Recipe Description This recipe was first found at a B&B in New Plymouth, Ohio (Ravenwood Castle). The cook gave me the recipe and I modified it. I don't like coconut and the sesame seeds all settled to the bottom, so I removed them from the recipe.

Steps
Sequence Step
1Mix dry ingredients throughly (holding the raisins out to be combined after baking). Combine canola oil and honey, heat to just boiling 1 1/2 min on high (1100 watt microwave), then add vanilla, wisk together, it will be thicker combined. Pour liquid over dry ingredients and mix again throughly to make sure each kernel is coated with the liquid mixture. Bake at 350 F for 40 to 45 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. It is necessary to stir pulling the kernels away from the sides and bottom of the pan (I use a ceramic pan). The kernels next to the sides will over cook or burn if not stirred at 10 minute intervals. While the granola is still hot, stir the raisins in and allow to cool. I stir mine occasionally during the cooling process to avoid clumping but not necessary.
