Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir well with a fork to mix the ingredients.
2
Separate the eggs and put the yolks in the mix and the whites in a 2 cup measuring cup or equivalent sized container.
3
Stir 1/2 cup milk into the flour, eggs and other ingredients until well mixed but still lumpy. This mixture should be quite heavy and thick. Let this stand for 5-10 minutes while you beat the egg whites.
4
Now whip the egg whites until firm. Add to the bowl with the flour mixture but do not stir.
5
Add the last 1/4 cup of milk into the container that you used to whip the egg whites and using the leftover egg whites in the container and on the beater, beat the milk until fluffy. Add this to the flour mixture.
6
Finally fold the egg whites and foamy milk into the flour mixture with a fork until well mixed.
