Transfer cookie dough into a bowl and add optional add in ingredients.

Use a small cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop cookies onto parchment paper or silicone liners.

Bake for 20 minutes until lightly browned. They will stay be soft on the inside. Be careful at this point because if you leave them in longer, they brown very quickly after 20 minutes. Check every 2 minutes.

Cool on cookie sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
