1Beat the sugar and butter until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
2Add egg and vanilla and beat until combined.
3Add the dry ingredients and milk alternately, started and ending with the flour, beating well after each addition. Continue beating for one minute.
4Divide batter between cup cake cups. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
5Core cupcake and fill with strawberries.
6Beat heavy cream until soft peaks form.
7Add vanilla and powdered sugar. Beat until stiff peaks form.
