Originally from my Nana, Anna Wyant,
who got it from God only knows where/who.
Makes approximately 8 dozen cookies, or as my mother put it “enough to eat hot plus fill the cookie jar.”

Steps

Step
1
Preheat oven to 350°F
2
Cream together butter, peanut butter, and both sugars. Once well creamed add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
3
Slowly add dry ingredients. Your mixer may not be able to handle it so you might have to do it by hand - I have to use the dough hook on my KitchenAid stand mixer to do this.
4
Drop by spoon onto cookie sheets. Bake at 350°F for 12-13 minutes until just golden. If using upper and lower racks in the oven switch the cookie sheets halfway through baking time to ensure even cooking.
5
Let cool on cookie sheet a few minutes to set up before removing to a cooling rack or eating.
