Steps
Sequence Step
1Put onion and a little oil in large pot. Soften onions.
2Add the water, carrots, celery, and chicken breasts. Boil until chicken is cooked through.
3Remove chicken and cube. Remove half of the water leaving the vegetables.
4Add the quart of chicken broth and return to a boil. Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
5Add the dumplings/biscuits and boil for about 8 minutes (until no longer doughy). Reduce heat to medium.
6Add chicken back in. Stir. Serve hot!
