Cut beef into cubes and brown in skillet, sprayed with nonstick spray, over high heat.

Cut up celery and onion

Rinse lentils and check for stones. Add all ingredients to large soup pot.

Bring to boil and reduce heat to simmer until all ingredients are tender and flavors are blended - 1 to 2 hours.

You can substitute 7 beef bouillon cubes and 7 cups water for the beef broth.
