Recipe Description This recipe was handed-down to me from my grandma who got it from her Aunt Nettie. It makes a delicious pie to serve for Sunday brunch or as a light supper to enjoy after a day spent in the field picking nettles.

cup, shreddedcheddar cheese

cupscooked fresh stinging nettles drained

Steps
Sequence Step
1Sprinkle cheese in bottom of chilled pie shell.
2Spread prepared nettles over cheese.
3Beat remaining ingredients and pour over nettles.
4Bake in 400 F oven for 10 minutes.
5Reduce heat to 350 F and bake another 20 minutes or until custard is set: when a knife inserted comes out clean.
