Steps
Sequence Step
1to make biscuits: combine: flour, salt and baking powder
2put in shortening, crumble into flour, work with fingers until crumbly.
3add water to make a good texture
4roll and cut or pat into biscuit
5bake on cookie sheet 350 degrees for 12-20 minutes
6to make gravy: brown ground beef with onions and garlic
7make a mix of the cornstarch and water, add the salt and pepper (lots of pepper is more authentic)
8add the cornstarch mix to the meat. Stir until thick and bubbly
9serve over split biscuits
