Cauliflower, coarsely chopped

large (7-1/4" to 8-1/2" long)

chicken broth or stock

butter melted

flour unbleached

cup milk 2%

marsala wine

cups diced
potatoes, peeled, chopped

slices raw
bacon, chopped and cooked and drained of fat

ham, cooked and cubed

parsley, chopped

Cover chopped veggies(except potatoes) with chicken broth in a deep pot. Cook 20 min. till soft.

Blend with immersion blender till smooth.

Add peeled, chopped potatoes, simmer 15 min. till soft, but remain in pieces.(Do not blend)

Make white sauce. Melt butter, add flour, then gradually add milk till all is thickened.

Add marsala wine to white sauce. (can use any wine or sherry)

Add white sauce to blended veggie pot.

Saute bacon and add to pot.

Add chopped leftover ham, diced.

Season with parsley, salt and pepper if needed. Simmer to blend all.
