pinto beans, canned or 2 cans, NO SALT ADDED

Onion, chopped

bacon, cooked, chopped and drained of fat (Applegate, reduced sodium all natural bacon)

In medium sauce pan add chopped bacon and cook until crisp. Drain excess fat.

on medium heat,add onion and garlic to pan with bacon. Cook about 5, or until vegetables are tender.

Drain and rinse pinto beans, add to pan along with vegetable broth and ketchup. Add all spice''s and stir.

Cover and simmer on low for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
