Steps
Sequence Step
1Combine turkey, egg white, garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt and pepper in a medium bowl and mix thoroughly with hands. Shape into 8 patties.
2Place 1 tablespoon of the cheddar on top of each of the 4 patties. Top with the remaining 4 patties and pinch the edges to seal.
3Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the oil and tilt the pan to cover the bottom evenly. Add burgers and cook, turning once until no longer pink, about 5 minutes on each side. Top burgers with lettuce and salsa. Optional: place in 4 whole-wheat kaiser hamburger rolls.
