Add lentils and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Add tomato suace, carrots, and celery. Simmer an additional 10 minutes. Add black beans and cook until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.

Stir in cilantro. Season to taste with salt and black pepper. Top with a dollop of low fat or fat free sour cream if desired.
