I created this to have a different type of hummus to enjoy and to use the wonderfully ripe avocados we find here in the summertime.

Drain and rinse off 1 (one) full can of chickpeas, and put into food processor bowl. Add 1-2 cloves of peeled and coarsely chopped garlic. Run food processor on high until chickpeas are partially broken down - they start to form a hummus-like texture. Cut the avocado in half lengthwise and pit it; discard pit. Cut avocado into cubes, and peel off skin and add avocado into food processor. Run on high again incorporating the avocado into the chickpeas. With the processor running, open pour spout and add lime juice and oil. You will likely need to scrap down the sides of the bowl several times during the processing. Keep processing until everything is well incorporated and the mixture becomes very smooth. Eat and enjoy! Refrigerate leftovers.
