Cut chicken into 1/2 inch pieces:sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Melt butter in large Dutch oven over medium high heat.

Add chicken, onion and garlic: cook, stirring occassionally, 8 minutes or until chicken is browned.

Add flour, and cook, stirring constantly 2 minutes.

Stir in broth, broccoli and milk; bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes.

Stir in sour cream.

Add cheese and stir until melted.
