cup, wholewhite mushrooms, Sliced

medium (2-1/2\" dia)Onion, chopped

cans (16 fl oz)tomatoes canned, whole

tablespoonsparsley flakes

teaspoonssalt

cans (6 oz)tomato paste

teaspoonsbasil, dried

teaspoonsoregano, dried

teaspoonFennel Seeds

leavesbay leaf
1/2
teaspoonblack pepper, ground

Steps
Sequence Step
1Chop the onions, garlic and mushrooms. Set aside.
2In a large pot or Dutch oven lightly brown the Italian sausage. Remove the sausage and drain the pot. Slice the sausage into 1/4" rounds. Set aside.
3Put the beef and onions in the pot and cook over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onions are tender. Add the garlic during the end. Drain off the fat.
