Recipe Description Instead of buying expensive energy bars, try this recipe. You can subsitute different nuts and dried fruit for variety.

Nut Bars
Ingredients

cupcoconut flakes, unsweetened

Steps
Sequence Step
1Lightly toast almonds and coconut in 350 oven for 5 min. Mix all nuts and fruits together in large bowl
2In a separate bowl, combine marshmallows and butter, and microwave until melted. Start with 1 minute and stir - all microwaves are different, so go in 15-30 second increments.
3Pour marshmallow mixture over nut mixture and evenly coat.
4if you use choc. chips, add at the very last or they will melt.
5press into a 13X9 pan, or larger - the bigger the pan the thinner and more bars you will have
6cut into bars, put in ziplocks and refrigerate.
