|
1 | soak soy beans for 8 Hours in lukewarm water |
2 | optional - rinse the excess soaking water off of the soybeans and add the same amount of clear unused water back to the soybeans and put in a largish pot or saute pan. (Rinsing reduces gas) |
3 | Boil soybeans for 5 minutes covered on high heat or until they boil over |
4 | boil soybeans on high heat uncovered for another 5 minutes or until 80% of the water is gone |
5 | add soy sauce, sugar, garlic, and oil and mix well change to low heat and cover let simmer for 30 minutes |
6 | uncover and reduce the sauce on high heat until the soybeans are heavily coated by a syrupy (sticky and shiny) sauce. |
7 | allow to cool and place in a container for the refrigerator. Serve well chilled. |
