Steps
Sequence Step
1heat oven to 200. stir together 2 c flour, 1 tsp sugar, salt, 1/2 t cinnamon and nutmeg. cut in 1/3 c butter and shortening. mix in water. separate into 2 parts. roll out both parts. place in 9" pie pan. in large bowl, combine all remaining filling. place apple mix in pie cruswt - cover with pie crust. cut 6 slits. melt 1 T butter - brush top. Sprinkle with 1 t raw sugar. bake for 35 minutes -- check edges. continue baking for 10-20 minutes until crust is browned.
