Steps
Sequence Step
1mix egg yolks, 3/4 cup sugar, salt and water in sauce pan. heat over medimum adding the gelatin and baking chocolate. stir until gelatin is dissolved and chocolate is melted. take off the burner and fold in the vanilla extract.
2pour into a large mixing bowl and set in the fridge for 45 minutes or so, stiring occasionally.
3beat the egg whites and cream or tartar at high speed in a separate bowl until soft peaks form. continue to beat while adding the remaining sugar gradually to form stiff peaks. set to the side.
4beat the chocolate mixture, using the same beaters from the egg whites. about 2 minutes, until it becomes fluffy.
5fold egg white mixture in with the chocolate mixture with a wire whisk until blended fully.
6pour into baked pie shell and set in fridge to settle, about 2 hours
