Steps
Sequence Step
1Preheat oven to 425. Sift flour into a mixing bowl.
2Cut shortening into the flour until it looks crumbly (pea size balls).
3Pour in buttermilk and mix until moist and dough removes from bowl easily. Sprinkle additional flour to keep from being sticky.
4Coat your hands and rolling pin with flour. Knead dough 3 times and form into a ball.
5Roll out dough until no higher than 3/4 inch. Use a biscuit cutter or cup to cut dough into circles.
6Place biscuits on a cookie sheet lined with foil and greased. Bake for 8 mins or until golden. Lift 1 biscuit to check the bottom. If it doesn''t stick the biscuits are done.
