1 | Preheat oven to 425. Sift flour into a mixing bowl. |
2 | Cut shortening into the flour until it looks crumbly (pea size balls). |
3 | Pour in buttermilk and mix until moist and dough removes from bowl easily. Sprinkle additional flour to keep from being sticky. |
4 | Coat your hands and rolling pin with flour. Knead dough 3 times and form into a ball. |
5 | Roll out dough until no higher than 3/4 inch. Use a biscuit cutter or cup to cut dough into circles. |
6 | Place biscuits on a cookie sheet lined with foil and greased. Bake for 8 mins or until golden. Lift 1 biscuit to check the bottom. If it doesn''t stick the biscuits are done. |
