Steps
Sequence Step
1Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Put all dry ingredients into a bowl- except chia seeds. Add 2 cups of boiling water and the coconut oil to the dry mix. It will thicken up as you stir. After about a minute of stirring, add the chia seeds. Roll out to approx 1/8" to 1/4" thick onto parchment paper on a cookie sheet. At this point you can add various toppings: dried onions, fennel seeds, unsweetened coconut etc. Bake for 40 minutes, keeping an eye on them as they will toast quickly on the edges. After about 50 minutes turn off the oven and let them cool and crisp up as the oven cools down.
