Steps
Sequence Step
1Large saucepan, combine dates, sugar and water.
2Cook and stir over medium heat for 7-9 minutes or until thickened.
3Stir in nuts, set aside to cool.
4Large bow, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
5Add eggs, one at a time, beating well aftereach addition.
6Combine the flour, soda, salt and cinnamon; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well.
7Divide dough in half.
8On a floured surface, roll out one portion of dough into a 1/4-in. thick rectangle.
9Spread with half of filling.
10Roll up jelly-roll syle, starting with a long side.
11Repeat with remaining dough and filling.
13Unwrap dough.
14Cut into 1/2-in. slices.
16Bake at 375 degrees for 12-14 minutes.
