Recipe Description Recipe from my grandmother, Hazel, my mom, Marti, used to make this around Christmas time. As an adult, it became a favorite of mine. I usually make it on Christmas Eve, my birthday, it's become a tradition. Our kids look forward to it & husband loves it too.

Pork Roast
Ingredients

teaspooncinnamon, ground

teaspoonallspice, ground

cupof Plum Sauce
Steps
Sequence Step
1Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Mix salt, cinnamon, allspice. Rub onto roast.
2Half way thru, brush with plum sauce, baste about every 20 minutes until done.
3Roast in 325 degree F oven approx 35-45 mins per lb.




Plum Sauce
Ingredients

plum with liquidPlums, 1 can purple plums in syrup

tablespoonCornstarch
1/4
teaspoonsalt
1/8
teaspooncinnamon, ground
1/8
teaspoonallspice, ground
1/2
fluid ouncelemon juice, bottled
1/2
tablespoonbutter (or margarine)
Steps
Sequence Step
1Drain syrup from plums into sauce pan.
2Combine dry goods together then add 2 T of syrup, mix together well.
3Add back into pan, cook, stirring constantly until it thickens and boils. Stir in lemon juice and butter, mix well.
4Set aside 3/4 C for basting roast, add rest to plums and keep warm to serve over slices of pork roast.
