Recipe Description This is basically the apple pie filling -- without the crust. It uses Splenda rather than sugar.

Steps
Sequence Step
1Heat Oven to 350
2Use a small saucepan or a microwave safe container and bring the 3 tablespoons of water to a boil.
3Mix together 1 tablespoon of cold water and cornstarch.
4Mix the cornstarch mixture into the boiling water. Stir this constantly on low heat for about 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
5Add the butter (softened) and the Splenda to the hot mixture.
6Add the Cinnamon and the Nutmeg to the mixture
7Peel and core the apple, then cut it into bite-sized pieces.
8Put the apple pieces into the cornstarch mixture and mix thoroughly.
9Spray a small oven-safe dish with cooking spray and then place the apple mixture into the dish.
10Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for approximately 30 minutes -- just until apples are tender.
