Steps
Sequence Step
1microwave 4 cups of milk 4-5 minutes until steaming.
2In a saucepan, mix sugar, salt, cornstarch and egg yolks (whisked).
3Turn heat to medium, whisk in steamed milk. Continue to whisk until thickened to pudding consistency - about 4 minutes.
4stir in vanilla
5Turn off heat. Transfer to bowl - covering surface directly with plastic wrap (to keep skin from forming). Cool to room temp.
6Custard can be refrigerated 5 days. 2 tbsp. for cream puff filling
