1 | combine milk, yeast, and sugar |
2 | add salt, shortening, egg, and 2 cups of the flour |
3 | mix on low speed until ingredients are wet |
4 | increase mixer to medium and mix for 2 min. |
5 | add 2 cups of flour |
6 | mix on medium speed for 2 min. |
7 | add remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, and mix until dough is soft, not overly sticky, and not stiff. |
8 | place dough in oiled bowl and flip so oil is on all the dough |
9 | cover with plastic wrap and let rise until doubled in size |
10 | place dough on floured surface, roll out and shape as desired |
11 | place on greased baking pans and cover lighty |
12 | let rise until doubled |
13 | bake at 375 for 15 to 20 min. or until browned |
