Ingredients
Amt. Measure Ingredient
16
ouncepork sausage
16
ounceshredded cheddar cheese
1
cup, choppedOnion, chopped
3
cupbisquick
1
teaspoongarlic powder
1
teaspoononion powder
1/2
teaspoonblack pepper
Steps
Sequence Step
1Saute sausage and onions together until sausage is brown and onions are caramelized. Drain the sausage, if needed. The fat creates a nice binder for the bisquick mixture, but you don''t want the mixture to be too sticky.
2Combine the sausage mixture, cheddar cheese, bisquick, and spices in a large bowl and stir to fully combine.
3Form tablespoon-size balls and place on a greased or parchment covered cookie sheet.
4Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 10 minutes or until done. Cool slightly and serve. The sausage balls are also good to serve at room temperature or can be reheated in the microwave for about 10 seconds.
