Steps
Sequence Step
1Combine oats, bran flakes, peanuts, sunflower seeds, and almonds in a large bowl
2In a sauce pan over medium heat combine applesauce, cinnamon, salt, canola oil, vanilla, maple syrup, molasses, honey and brown sugar until sugar is dissolved, about 3-4 minutes
3Pour liquid mixture over dry ingredients and mix well
4Divide granola between two sheet pans lined with parchment paper and press down with flat spatula
5Bake at 300 degrees for 45 minutes
6Let cool in oven for several hours or over night.
7Pack in air tight bags for freshness. Keeps about 1 week.
