servingritz crackers, 1 sleeve crushed

Steps
Sequence Step
1Coarsely chop cabbage and place in a 2-3 quart casserole dish.
2Chop onion and place on top of the cabbage.
3Melt 1/2 stick of the margarine and pour over the cabbage.
4Sprinkle with salt and pepper (to taste).
5In a small bowl, mix the soup and mayonnaise together and spread on top of the cabbage mixture. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
6To make topping, melt remaining stick of margarine. In a small bowl, mix the melted margarine, shredded cheese, and crushed crackers. Sprinkle the cracker and cheese mixture over the top of the casserole.
7Bake for about 45 min. or until the topping is browned and the inside is bubbly.
