Recipes - King Arthur Chocolate Chip Cookies (Pan Cookie Style)

Recipe Name

King Arthur Chocolate Chip Cookies (Pan Cookie Style)

Submitted by 2026maomax
Recipe Description EVERYONE has a favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe; this is ours. These golden cookies are packed with chips and loaded with buttery flavor. They walk the line nicely between crunchy and chewy: the edges are crisp, while the center is "bendy."

Steps
Sequence Step
1Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 13x9 inch pyrex dish and line it with a parchment paper sling.
2In a large bowl, combine the sugars, butter, shortening, salt, vanilla, vinegar, and baking soda, beating until smooth and creamy.
3Beat in the egg, again beating until smooth. Scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl with a spatula to make sure everything is thoroughly combined.
4Mix in the flour, then the chips.
5Use a spoon or rubber spatula to press the cookie dough into the prepared pan.
6Bake the cookies for 20-25 minutes, until the edges are chestnut brown and the top is light golden brown.
7Label a cooling rack with your period and kitchen and place a large plastic container with the cooling rack so your cookies can be packaged.
8Remove the pan cookies from the oven, and cool in the pan prior to cutting.
9Store cookies, well wrapped, at room temperature for up to 5 days; freeze for longer storage.
