Ingredients
Amt. Measure Ingredient
1
pound, rawchicken
2
packages (10 oz)broccoli florets steamers bag (10-12oz)
1
cup, choppedCarrots
Steps
Sequence Step
1Prepare chicken and place in a labeled quart bag. Prepare veggies and place in a medium plastic container. Measure all sauce ingredients except cornstarch mixture and place in small leak proof container. D2 First, cook your veggies over medium-high heat in a tablespoon of vegetable oil. Cook for 5 minutes, until hard veggies like carrots or broccoli are softened. You can check by piercing them with a fork. Remove the veggies from the pan (transfer to a clean plate or large bowl). Add the meat (plus additional oil if there is none left in the pan). Cook for 5-8 minutes, until meat is cooked through. To check if the meat is done - cut the largest piece in half and check to see if it is still pink inside. Don’t over cook because it gets tough and rubbery. Remove and set aside. Add the sauce to the pan and heat until sugar dissolves. Add cornstarch mixture and heat until thickened. Then add back the veggies and meat and toss all together. Serve right away.
