1Pizza Sauce- Day 1 Yield: enough for 8 slices Ingredients: 1 six oz. can tomato paste ½ to ¾ c. water (not to thick or not to runny) 1/2 t. Garlic Powder 1 t. Sugar 1 T. Onion Powder 1 ¼ t. Italian Seasoning ⅛ t. Black pepper D1 Directions: FOR THE SAUCE: Combine all ingredients and place in a labeled container. FOR THE CRUST Measure sugar and salt (from crust recipe) and place in a sandwich bag or small container. Measure flour (from crust recipe) and place in a labeled container Pizza Crust Recipe-D2 Yield: 8 slices Dough Ingredients 3 ½ cups all purpose flour 1 pkg. active dry yeast ¼ cup warm water (105°F-115°F) 1 cup warm milk (105°F-115°F) 1 tablespoon sugar 1 ½ tsp salt 2 tablespoon margarine, softened Directions-Day 2: Warm water and milk in a microwave safe bowl until it reaches 105-110 degrees. Dissolve yeast in a KitchenAid mixing bowl with warm water, warm milk, sugar, salt and margarine. Add 1 cup of flour and beat on # 2 setting for 1 minute with dough hook. Add 1 cup of flour and beat another minute on the #2 setting. Gradually add remaining flour (1½ cups). Turn out on a floured counter top KNEAD for 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic Place in a labeled container and allow to proof in the refrigerator overnight. Pizza-D3-D4 Yield: 8 slices Ingredients: 1 premade crust from recipe above 1 sauce from recipe above 2 c shredded mozzarella cheese 1 t. Italian seasoning ¼ c chopped pepperoni (optional) D3 Directions: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Remove dough from container and deflate. Place onto a floured surface. Roll dough out to 1/2 inch thickness Place dough onto greased pizza pan or jelly roll pan, making sure the dough is evenly rolled out. Spread sauce on pizza, top with cheese, and add your favorite topping Cover pizza with saran wrap and label with your kitchen information. D4 Directions Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (teacher will do). Uncover pizza and place it on center rack of oven. Place panzerotti on a lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.
