cup, unsiftedsugar, powdered - reserve for glaze

Steps
Sequence Step
1In a large bowl mix brown sugar and Splenda, then cream together with margarine. Beat in egg and vanilla.
2Sift together dry ingredients and add to mixture gradually, beating until well blended.
3Stir in chopped apples.
4Spread in a greased 8x8 pan and bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes.
5To glaze, mix powdered sugar and cinnamon to taste. Add hot water a little at a time until glaze is a thick drizzling consistency. Drizzle lightly onto warm apple bars in the pan.
