Steps
Sequence Step
1Season chicken with salt and pepper.
2In a dutch oven, heat 1/2 T. oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook, stirring often, until lightly browned, 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
3Add remaining 1/2 T oil to the pan. add bell peppers and onion; season with salt and pepper and cook, stirring often, about 3 minutes.
4Add chopped green chilies, garlic, chili powder, cumin and oregano; cook stirring, until fragrant, about 1 minute.
5Add broth and milk to the pan and bring to a boil.
