quartbuttermilk

cups (8 fl oz)boiling water

cupsflour unbleached-sifted

cupOil, canola and soybean

cupsbran flakes cereal

teaspoonnutmeg

teaspoonallspice, ground

cup, packedraisins, seedless

cupapplesauce
Steps
Sequence Step
1Pour boiling water over All Bran in LARGE mixing bowl and let stand
2Sift flour, soda, salt & spices together.
3Add buttermilk (only 3 cups if using applesauce) and applesauce, sugar, beaten eggs & oil to All Bran.
4Add dry mixture to bran mixture.
5Fold in raisins & flakes. (Use Raisin Bran if you like)
6Refridgerate 24 hours before baking.
7Bake 18 minutes in 400 degree oven.
8Batter will keep in the refridgerator for up to six weeks, so you can add other goodies to different batches (nuts, chopped apples, blueberries, crushed pineapple, etc) just before you bake them.
