cuphoney
1
packageyeast, active dry (1/4) oz.

tablespoonsunsalted butter, melted

1/4
cupsmilk
Steps
Sequence Step
1Dissolve the yeast into warm milk (110-115 degrees)
2Add the honey, salt and melted butter
3Add 6 cups of flour and mix
4While mixing add additional flour until the result is a single mass ball that pulls away from the mixer bowl
5Turn out the dough mass and knead for approximately 6 minutes our until the dough is smooth and elastic.
6Place the dough ball into an oiled bowl; turn once to coat evenly, then set aside to rise for approximately 2 hours or until the dough has doubled in size. Do not skimp on this as the resulting density to the bread is obvious.
7After the rise turn the dough onto a floured surface and knock down the mass, divide into two equal portions and place in loaf pans.
8Allow the dough to rise in the loaf pan until it extends 1'' above the rim of the pan.
9Bake at 375 degrees for 30 - 35 minutes or until the crust is dark and crisp.
10Allow to cool completely, slice and enjoy.
