2In a large bowl, add prepared cake (squares) and one package of chocolate fudge frosting, mix until well blended. Using small scoops or tablespoonfuls of the mixture, form into small balls and place on a waxed paper lined cookie sheet. Freeze until firm.

3In microwave, melt semi-sweet chocolate pieces with shortening in small bowl at 30 second intervals, stirring each time until smooth. Dip frozen chocolate balls into melted chocolate mixture coating throughly. Place covered ball back onto waxed paper lined cookie sheet to set/dry completely.
4Remove from cookie sheet and store in air tight container until ready to serve. NOTE: Place waxed paper in beween layers if stacking.

1Prepare cake mix according to packaged instructions. Allow to cool. Cut into squares while in pan.
