Steps
Sequence Step
1Stir together oil, molasses, and 1 cup of the sugar. Add Eggs and beat until smooth. In another bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves. Gradually add flour mixture to the molasses mixture until well combined. Refrigerate at least one hour. Put 1/4 cup of the sugar in a small bowl. Shape the dough into balls and roll in the sugar. Place the balls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from pan and cool. Makes 30.
